Plein Air en Bourgogne
September 14 - 21, 2025
Travel with me to France for an intimate, more authentic European experience in Burgundy! Immerse yourself in the perfect artistic environment: an idyllic rural landscape, quintessential French culture and people, extraordinary local wines and celebrated Burgundian cuisine, all in the company of a supportive community of artists.
Our lodging will be at Château de Missery, a classic French 18th century château with four medieval towers and surrounded by a moat. We will paint in the gardens and on the grounds of the château and the surrounding area with excursions to the medieval hilltop village of Flavigny sur Ozerain (where Chocolat was filmed) and Beaune with its world-famous Côte d’Or vineyards. We’ll also spend a day in Dijon, the capital of Burgundy, to experience its rich history and enjoy its culinary specialties.
Château de Missery is located in northeastern Burgundy, the quiet hilly countryside about a two and one-half hour drive from Paris and forty minutes from Dijon. Transportation from Paris is included in the program.
There is space for up to 13 for the week. All levels are welcome, non-painting partners are invited. More details with our itinerary, the cost, and registration information will be available here soon.
